Workshop on Random Interfaces and Directed Polymers
September 11 - 17, 2005
Universität Leipzig
The main objective of the workshop is to discuss and review recent results related to fluctuation, pinning, wetting and repulsion phenomena in a variety of statistical mechanical models of random inferfaces and directed polymers.
The workshop will feature two mini-courses by Francis Comets "Directed polymers in random environment" and Yvan Velenik "Localization and delocalization of random interfaces" and a number of invited talks.
It is the first in a series of workshops organized by the network Mathematik in den exakten Naturwissenschaften.
This workshop is supported by Verein von Förderern und Freunden der Universität Leipzig e.V., Humboldt-Stiftung, Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences and International Max Planck Research School.
