The Hopf algebra of derivations and its use in quantum field theory
The Hopf algebra structure of quantum field theory was investigated recently by several groups. Using the functional approach to quantum field theory, the effect of the interaction Hamiltonian can be calculated using the Hopf algebra of functional derivations. This enables us to obtain nonperturbative results for quantum field theory with initial correlations, which is important in solid-state and molecular physics. In particular, the hierarchy of Green functions with initial correlations will be given explicitly.
