  • 02/1995-03/2000 Postdoc in the nonlinear time series analysis group at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems Dresden
  • 04/2000-04/2004 Research fellow in the group "Computer Assisted Physics" at the University Zürich working on time series analysis of EEG
  • since 05/2004 Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences

Research interests

  • Information theoretic approach to complex systems: measures of complexity, complex networks, information decomposition, multi-level systems, game theory
  • Time series analysis;in particular analysis and modeling of human sleep EEG
