Abstract:
We provide an overview of the author's recent paper, ``Equivariant Plateau problems'', where sufficient algebraic conditions are obtained for the existence of a realisition by a convex immersion of a homomorphism from a Fuchsian group into the fundamental group of a three dimensional compact manifold of strictly negative curvature.
