The Saxonian Algebraic Geometry initiative, led by Daniele Agostini (MPI MiS), Christian Lehn (TU Chemnitz), and Rainer Sinn (Uni Leipzig), aims to establish a regional scientific network with neighboring institutions that brings Saxony to the forefront of developments in both pure and applied Algebraic Geometry. This network will anchor expertise in the field and establish connections with other mathematical subdisciplines as well as interdisciplinary applications.
The SAXAG Seminar is the first element of this initiative. Its purpose is to connect the participating institutions and invite national and international speakers to Saxony.
SAXAG is funded by the Sächsisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft, Kultur und Tourismus.
