DMV Topic Days Felix Klein

Felix Klein was a prominent mathematician, educator, and science organizer who contributed significantly to the development of modern mathematics. His works on geometry, group theory, invariant theory, and mathematics education are still of great importance today. Felix Klein was also an important promoter of mathematics in Germany. He was one of the founders of the DMV and played an important role in the establishment and development of the organization, of which he was president three times.

June 22, 2025 will be the 100th anniversary of Felix Klein's death. The DMV, together with the University of Leipzig and the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences, will use this occasion to commemorate Klein's work, to present his influence on geometry, mathematics education, and science policy to the present day, and to present current research on Klein as part of the DMV Topic Days in Leipzig.
