Kemal Rose
Kemal Rose is a master's student at TU Berlin and will soon be a PhD student at MPI MiS under the supervision of Bernd Sturmfels. His area of research is algebraic geometry and he is particularly fond of methods to degenerate schemes and relates them to discrete geometry. For example toric degenerations and tropical geometry.
Other areas of interest that Kemal would like to learn about are intersection theory, arithmetic geometry and applications of Arakelov theory to tropical intersection theory. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, cycling and cooking.
