Abstract:
We consider the Landau-Lifshitz equation from micromagnetics, and especially its limiting behaviour for the large body limit. First we prove for the formal limiting equation the existence of global solutions of the corresponding Cauchy problem. Then we study the convergence of solutions of the Landau-Lifshitz equation for the large body limit.
