This one-day event is focused on recent advances in solving nonlinear optimization problems with algebraic constraints. It provides an informal setting to share ideas among those interested in solving polynomial systems over the reals, to learn the craft from experts in optimization and in nonlinear algebra, and to discuss future directions at this interface.
