The workshop is envisioned to be centered on algebraic methods and closely related topics, including tropical geometry, convex geometry, linear algebra, and algorithmic approaches, as tools for advancing game-theoretic questions. The broader aspiration is that mathematicians not from game theory become familiar with the methods and open problems in the field, and that algebraic approaches gain wider understanding within the game theory community. For this reason, we are eager to ensure that the event also appeals to "classical" game theorists, and to foster dialogue between the algebraic and more traditional sides of the field and encourage cross-pollination of ideas.
