Quasi-flats of intermediate dimension in higher rank
This working workshop, hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (Leipzig), will bring together researchers interested in the geometry of symmetric spaces of higher rank and Euclidean buildings.
We will focus on questions regarding the flexibility and rigidity properties of quasi-isometrically embedded flats and connections to discrete subgroups of Lie groups.
Here on the one hand top-dimensional quasi-flats are controlled by Mostow-Morse theory, and on the other hand uniformly regular quasigeodesics are controlled by the higher rank Morse lemma appearing in certain characterizations of Anosov subgroups.

There will be a few talks, and ample time for discussion and collaboration.
