Felix Otto to Deliver Plenary Lecture at ICM 2026

We are proud and delighted to announce that our director Felix Otto has been invited to present a plenary lecture at the world’s most prestigious mathematics congress ICM 2026. 

The International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM), which will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA), from July 23 to 26, 2026, is regarded the most important global forum for mathematics. It brings together specialists from all fields of mathematics to present and discuss the most outstanding results of recent years. The congress is also the stage for the awarding of the prestigious Fields Medals, widely considered the highest honor in mathematics – often referred to as the “Nobel Prize of Mathematics.”

An invitation to deliver a plenary lecture at the ICM is a special honor, reserved for only a select group of mathematicians worldwide. Felix Otto has already received numerous congratulations for this remarkable recognition.
