Mara Belotti is a first year PhD student at Technische Universität Berlin, under the supervision of Michael Joswig. She first visited MPI in July 2019, when she was still a master student. She came back in 2021 to give a talk in the Nonlinear Algebra seminar.

Her mathematical interests include real algebraic geometry and combinatorics, but she has lately been attracted to enumerative problems arising in algebraic geometry.

When she is not doing mathematics, Mara enjoys watching sunsets, drinking coffee and listening to people.
