Yuhan Jiang is an undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley. She expects to graduate in Spring 2020. She will be applying to PhD programs in Fall 2019.
She took a course on Algebraic Curves with Bernd Sturmfels in Spring 2019. For the course project, she studies the genus and singularities of a family of curves that are of interest in optimization. She came to MPI to develop the project into a thesis advised by Bernd Sturmfels. She also studies moduli space through both algebraic and computational approaches.
She is still exploring her mathematical interest.
