Saskia Gutzschebauch

Saskia Gutzschebauch is the administrative assistant to Bernd Sturmfels and his Non-Linear Algebra group at MPI MiS. Before joining the group two years ago, she had been working for the institute's administration for ten years, starting as a trainee. She takes care of all administrative issues like organizing conferences and workshops, travels for our group members, contact person for visitors, etc. Also, she is there for any other problems and questions that may arise while living in Leipzig. Though she is not a mathematician, she very much enjoys the free and creative atmosphere of this group and she is happy to meet so many people from different countries and cultures.

Saskia spends her leisure time mainly with books, traveling and good food. She is fascinated by languages and especially enjoys Spanish books and movies. Next goal: learning Russian!
