August 19, 2019

Melanie Harms is a PhD student at the RWTH Aachen University under the supervision of Eva Zerz. Her research interests are in invariance properties of dynamical systems from an algebraic point of view. One major aspect of her research is the application to control theory.

Melanie visited the MPI MiS to give a talk on "Invariant Semialgebraic Sets for Polynomial Dynamics" and to join a workshop on D-modules.

Besides maths, Melanie likes playing music, dancing and traveling. Moreover, she enjoys good coffee and food.
