Abstract

This talk consists of two parts. In the first part, I will give a very brief introduction to the model of random interlacements. In the second part, I will investigate the asymptotic behaviour of the probability that a large body gets disconnected from infinity by the set of points visited by a simple random walk on Z^d (d bigger or equal to 3), and explain how this problem is linked with the model of random interlacements.
