The aim of the COMBO school is to bring together PhD students from different areas of mathematics and give them an overview on selected topics, in order to stimulate engagement in interdisciplinary research early in their careers. This first edition will focus on applications of algebra to biology and of analysis to kinetic theory. There will be two short courses of 4 lectures each that require no previous knowledge of the topics. Exercise and discussion sessions are planned to improve the collaboration between students.
