Abstract

Research-data management is a hot topic across the sciences but what has it got to do with mathematics? I will report on a best-practice example: the process of taking an early 2000's mathematical library, the Small Phylogenetic Trees, and transforming it into a FAIR repository for data from algebraic phylogenetics. In doing so, modern web technology and expertise from data stewards is applied to preserve valuable mathematical results and ensure their reproducibility for the foreseeable future.
