Abstract
Introduction to ergodic theory and its application in dynamical systems. Topics to be covered include: existence of invariant measures for continuous transformations. Measure preserving transformations. Ergodicity and mixing. Recurrence and ergodic theorems. Topological dynamics. Isomorphism problem, metric and topological entropies. Thermodynamical formalism.
