We have decided to discontinue the publication of preprints on our preprint server as of 1 March 2024. The publication culture within mathematics has changed so much due to the rise of repositories such as ArXiV (www.arxiv.org) that we are encouraging all institute members to make their preprints available there. Constrained Willmore equation for disks with positive Gauss curvature

Abstract
Let S be a bounded simply connected two-dimensional domain and let g be a Riemannian on S with positive Gauss curvature. We study the restriction of the Willmore functional to the class of isometric immersions of the manifold (S, g) into three-dimensional Euclidean space, and we derive Euler-Lagrange equations for its critical points.
