July 4, 2018

Amanda Cameron is a postdoctoral researcher at the MPI MiS. She received her PhD in 2017 from the Queen Mary University of London under the supervision of Alex Fink.

Amanda works mostly in combinatorics, namely on matroid theory. The title of her PhD thesis was "A generalisation of the Tutte polynomial for polymatroids." While at the MPI MiS, she has been looking at matroids from the perspective of algebra, an area in which they show up frequently.
