Isobel Davies has recently completed her master’s degree at Loughborough University. She is very interested in commutative algebra and related fields such as algebraic number theory. She will be applying for PhD positions starting in 2021.
She is visiting MPI Leipzig in order to expand her research interests, in particular, she plans to learn more about algebraic geometry and gain more experience with Sage and Macaulay2.
Outside of mathematics, Isobel loves listening to live music, meeting new people and going snorkeling in the summer.
