My name is Lukas Gustafsson and I’m a PhD student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Currently I’m working on problems in algebraic statistics concerning the Gaussian Maximum Likelihood degree. I am also interested in branching out and trying new problems in non-linear algebra. The applied algebraic geometry group at KTH and the Non-linear algebra group at MPI MiS have similar research interests and a strong connection. In that spirit I am spending three months in Leipzig to strengthen that connection and hopefully start a new project.
