Nonlinear Algebra People - 2019

Avinash (Avi) Kulkarni

August 12, 2019

Avinash (Avi) Kulkarni finished his Ph.D. at Simon Fraser University in November 2018. His interest is in the connections between number theory, algebraic geometry, computer algebra, and random algebraic geometry.

During his time at MPI, Avi developed the pAdicSolver.jl software package, which computes approximate solutions to systems of polynomial equations. Avi is also interested in how often a random collection of polynomial equations has a p-adic solution.

Avi looks forward to continued collaboration with the community orbiting the MPI MiS. "In Leipzig Deutsch zu lernen, hat Avi glücklich gemacht. Er denkt, dass der Clara Zetkin Park sehr schön ist!"
