Shiyue Li is a PhD student at Brown University. Her research interest lies in the intersection of enumerative geometry and combinatorics. The mathematical objects that live in her head nowadays are matroids, topological zeta functions, tableaux, and a kind of moduli space of curves called Hassett spaces.
Shiyue is virtually visiting MPI Leipzig for Fall 2020, and starting to learn algebra-geometric problems arisen from algebraic statistics.
When awake and not doing math, Shiyue is either lost in nature (running hiking or climbing), cooking or doing some music stuff.
