Kalina Mincheva is a Gibbs Assistant Professor at the department of mathematics at Yale University. She got her PhD from the Johns Hopkins University.
She is interested in foundations of tropical geometry and the commutative algebra of semirings, and is currently working with tropical ideals and tropical schemes.
In the summer of 2018, she has been visiting MPI MiS for the Macaulay2 workshop and has worked on extensions of the tropical package.
