Raphaël Pellegrin is visiting the Nonlinear Algebra group at MPI MiS for the summer. He is learning about SDPs under the supervision of Professor Bernd Sturmfels. He just graduated with a bachelor’s from Imperial College, Londonand will start his master’s at the University of Oxford in the fall. He would like to apply for PhDs starting in 2021.
Raphaël is still exploring his mathematical interest. So far, he has enjoyed introductions to geometry, topology, combinatorics and applied algebra. Raphaël enjoys skiing in his native Alps, organizing mathematics outreach events, traveling and listening to his friends play classical music at the RCM.
