Frank Röttger is a researcher in the Nonlinear Algebra group at MPI MiS. Before, he was a PhD-student at Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg under the supervision of Thomas Kahle and Rainer Schwabe.
His main mathematical interest is in algebraic statistics, especially in the application of nonlinear algebra in optimal design and graphical models. At MPI, he will try to learn more about nonlinear algebra and its power for problems in the sciences.
Outside math, he likes to meet with friends, ride his bicycle, or take a walk. Furthermore, he would like to spend more time reading and exercising.
