Amir Hosein Sadeghimanesh is a PhD student at University of Copenhagen. His PhD project concerns applications of algebraic geometry to chemical reaction networks.

He is visiting MPI MiS for three months. During this visit, he hopes to learn more tools and techniques from real algebraic geometry to deal with systems of polynomial equality-inequalities.

He is interested in methods to study the set of positive solutions of a parametrized polynomial equations. This question arises from the study of steady states in systems of ODE modeling the concentrations of species in a reaction network.
