Javier Sendra-Arranz

May 17, 2022

My name is Javier Sendra-Arranz. I am a PhD student at MPI MiS since September 2021 under the supervision of Daniele Agostini. I did my master degree at the University of Bonn where I wrote my Master thesis about Gromov Witten theory of elliptic curves and K3 surfaces under the supervision of Georg Oberdieck and Johannes Schmitt.

My research interest lies in the field of algebraic geometry from a theoretical, computational, and applied point of view. In particular, among others, I am interested in algebraic curves, enumerative geometry, moduli spaces, Gromov-Witten theory and algebraic geometry applied to game theory.

Outside mathematics, I enjoy live music, playing the guitar, traveling, the company of my dog, and spending time under the sun and in the nature.
