Nonlinear Algebra People - 2022

Bertrand Teguia Tabuguia

March 18, 2022

My name is Bertrand Teguia Tabuguia. I completed my Ph.D. in May 2020 at the University of Kassel under the supervision of Wolfram Koepf. My main field of interest is Symbolic Computation, also called Computer Algebra.

I am fascinated by sequences of numbers and willing to follow their understanding wherever they lead me in Mathematics. As a postdoctoral researcher in the Nonlinear Algebra group of Bernd Sturmfels at the MPI MiS, I am working on a project that focuses on Differential Algebra to define a computational method to prove identities between non-holonomic functions having interesting sequences as power series coefficients.

I enjoy the inspiring atmosphere at MPI and I am delighted to reconcile with Algebraic Geometry and Groebner Bases, which I have not been able to study more deeply in the past. I also expect fruitful collaborations with other researchers of the institute.

Besides Mathematics, I like philosophy and arts. I am pesco-vegetarian, and my favorite food is fufu with any nice sauce.
