Zeinab Toghani is a Marie Curie Fellow at the Queen Mary University of London. Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig is her secondment institute. She received her bachelor's degree from the Alzahra University, her master’s degree from the Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology and her PhD from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. In her thesis, she studied tropical differential geometry and she was supervised by Fuensanta Aroca.

She is particularly interested in tropical geometry, differential algebra, toric variety and Newton polytope. During her one and a half month stay at MPI, she worked with Yue Ren on tropical differential geometry. She will visit MPI again next year.

Apart from being a mathematician, Zeinab enjoys listening to music, exercising and taking a walk in nature.
