Nonlinear Algebra People - 2020

Robin van der Veer

April 30, 2020

Robin van der Veer is a PhD student at the KU Leuven under the supervision of Nero Budur. His main research interests are Bernstein-Sato ideals and their relations with various other singularity invariants, such as cohomology support loci and topological zeta functions.

Recently he got interested in algebraic statistics and the surprising links that exist between it and Bernstein-Sato ideals. It is through this link that he got in touch with the Non-Linear Algebra research group at the MPI MiS.
