Thin, thick and obese neighborhods of round spheres in injective metric spaces

Tubular neighborhood of an outer-isometric image of a metric space X in an injective metric space is homotopy equivalent to the Vietoris-Rips complex on X. I will discuss how the homotopy type of neighborhoods (or VR-complexes) of spheres depends on the radius of the neighborhood and what threshold radii are.
