Perspectives in Mathematical Biology

Mathematical Biology is an active and rapidly developing field, with many new problems that stimulate the development of new mathematical tools, and with new mathematical ideas contributing to biological theory, experiment, and data analysis.

In this workshop, some leading experts will provide an overview of new research and sketch the perspectives for the field. We hope that we shall learn about new biological problems and that novel insights will emerge from the interaction of a wide range of mathematical fields, like discrete and combinatorial geometry, topology, stochastics, dynamical systems or partial differential equations.
