Abstract:
Grid generation is a tool used in various fields. Scientific visualisation in Computer Science has other goals than the grid constructions in numerical discretisations of partial differential equations. Modern adaptive techniques require a cheap management of unstructured grids subject to several side conditions.
The topics discussed in these proceedings concern the grid construction in general, data structure, adaptive techniques, geoscientific applications, grid hierarchies in multi-grid methods and stability questions.
