Equidimensional isometric maps

In this seminar I will discuss the notion of isometric maps, i.e. maps preserving distances between points of metric spaces. Depending on the metric and on the regularity required, isometric maps behave very differently. This talk is devoted to the introduction to the cases of spaces with the same dimension and to the exposition of some recent results on the generic behavior of isometric maps.
