An Afternoon on Analysis and Geometry

Mathematics in the sciences has many facets and stems from all the major disciplines of mathematics. It is particularly successful whenever different disciplines interact. Therefore, the unity of mathematics is an important cornerstone of our institute. We share a common language, a common culture, and a curiosity about other disciplines.

To foster this unity, it has become common practice at MPI to organize mini-conferences and symposia with contributions from different sub-disciplines, leaving ample room for questions and discussions. This afternoon on analysis and geometry follows this tradition.
