International Conference on Infinite Dimensional (Stochastic) Analysis and Quantum Physics
We announce an International Conference on "Infinite dimensional (stochastic) analysis and quantum physics'' at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig during January 18--22, 1999, jointly funded by SFB 343 "Diskrete Strukturen in der Mathematik", Universität Bielefeld and DFG-Schwerpunkt "Interagierende Stochastische Systeme von hoher Komplexität".
The purpose of this Conference is to bring together some of the leading experts in this very active area on the intersection of mathematics and physics, to report on the most influential and exciting new developments, and to celebrate the 60th birthday of Sergio Albeverio that will take place on January 17.
In order not to overload the conference we had to restrict ourselves to a number of invited talks which you can see from the schedule. We regret that therefore we unfortunately can not accept any further talks by participants. However, all participants are invited to contribute to our Conference Proceedings. Unfortunately, we shall not have any space for displaying posters.
The conference proceedings will consist of two parts, one for lectures by plenary speakers and one for all contributed manuscripts. The volumes will be edited by
- Fritz Gesztesy (Columbia-Missouri, USA)
- Helge Holden (Trondheim, Norway)
- Juergen Jost (Leipzig, Germany)
- Sylvie Paycha (Clermont-Ferrand, France)
- Michael Roeckner (Bielefeld, Germany)
- Sergio Scarlatti (Rome, Italy)
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) agreed to publish these proceedings volumes in its CMS Conference Proceedings Series. The series editors are Tony Geramita (Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, CA) and Niky Kamran (McGill University, Montreal, CA).
