Workshop "Biology and Geometry"

Biology structures live and biological processes take place in 3-dimensional space, and are both enabled and constrained by this geometry. Biological data are represented in high dimensional spaces, with a very different geometry.

Can we combine these two perspectives? To what extent and in which ways can modern geometry help us in understanding biology? What challenges does biology pose for geometry?
