Homogenization of a boundary condition for the heat equation

Abstract

The paper looks at the first order asymptotics for an almost periodiccally from Dirichlet to Neumann conditions changing heat equation with a scaling going to zero.The proof of the final homogenization result uses a blow up technique and a suitable uniqueness result for Laplace's equation in half space.
