Abstract

(Higher) Teichmüller space is known to possess a (pre-)symplectic structure which has a simple expression in any system of cluster coordinates. We will show that this fact implies the existence of mapping class group invariant functions taking values in $(Z/pZ)^*$ for any prime p on the set of rational points of the corresponding character variety.
