Eigenpoint collinearities of plane cubics

Abstract

The fixed points of the gradient map determined by a ternary homogeneous polynomial are called its eigenpoints. We study alignments of eigenpoints of cubic polynomials, determining all possible configurations that may arise, by using both geometric techniques and computer algebra.

This is a joint work with Valentina Beorchia and Alessandro Logar.
