Lectures on Webs III

Abstract

Webs are graph-like objects appearing at the intersection of low dimensional geometry & topology, combinatorics, representation theory, and mathematical physics. These lectures will introduce webs and some of the tantalizing questions about them. We will focus on the mathematics related to the Lie group SL(n) of n-by-n matrices with determinant one, putting emphasis on the cases n=2 and n=3. No prerequisites are expected.
