Consider the problem of reconstruction in Computer Vision. Given images of a scene, the reconstruction process starts with identifying the corresponding sets of points and lines, on the images. In this talk, I will give an algebraic understanding of line correspondences, I will describe the smallest algebraic set containing the image lines coming from the same line in , namely the line multiview variety, as well as illustrate it with an example, using Macaulay2.
