Line triangulation in the Structure from Motion problem

Abstract

The Structure from Motion (SfM) problem aims to create a tridimensional model of a scene from 2D images. In order to do so, point and line features are identified and matched in the images, creating correspondences that are triangulated and used to recreate the scene. In this talk we will focus on the triangulation of lines. We will define the line multiview varieties and present their main properties. Then we will introduce the Anchored Multiview varieties which will be a starting point for the triangulation of line and point incidences appearing frequently in line segment triangulation.
