Numerical methods for solving polynomial systems - A hands on introduction

E1 05 (Leibniz-Saal)

Abstract

This tutorial provides a practical demonstration of how numerical methods can enhance the comprehension of (algebraic) geometric problems and aid in proving statements. We begin with a brief overview of numerical homotopy continuation methods and the process of certifying solutions with interval methods.

Utilizing the software HomotopyContinuation.jl, we delve into practical applications, showcasing the techniques through a series of examples.
