Euler’s Eleven are soccer runners-up

Our MPI soccer team fought their way to a fantastic 2nd place at the 1st Leipzig Science Cup.

Leipzig is one of the host cities for UEFA EURO 2024. To get in the mood for the European Championship and promote scientific collaboration, the Department of Science Policy of the City of Leipzig organized the 1st Leipzig Science Cup together with the Leipzig Science Network. Our Euler’s Eleven team managed to triumph over numerous strong teams from Leipzig's science institutions and secured a fantastic 2nd place. The team, led by our team captain Cyrille Merleau Nono Saha, was awarded an official UEFA EURO 2024 ball as the runners-up trophy, which will undoubtedly be very useful for our training for upcoming tournaments.
