Mixing by BV Vector Fields

We consider how quickly a BV vector field may mix a passive scalar, as measured by decay in any negative Sobolev norm. We discuss current progress and give new results regarding the mixing conjecture of Bressan, giving in particular the first quantitative bound valid for autonomous divergence-free vector fields in any dimension.
